What type of vehicles am I permitted to drive with it?
Motorbikes with a power output of up to 35 kW, and a power to weight ratio not more than 0.2 kW/kg. The motorbike must not be derived from a vehicle of more than double its power.

Preconditions:

• Valid identity document and address card
• At least primary education
• Valid medical aptitude certificate (not required if holding a valid driving licence with a medical aptitude expiry date)
• Min. age requirement: 17 years and 6 months

When can I take a theory test?
Min. age requirement: 17 years and 9 months

When can I take a vehicle handling exam?
Min. age requirement: 18 years

When can I take a driving test?
Min. age requirement: 18 years
 

Fees for official tests:
Fundamental traffic rules (theory): HUF 10 500
Vehicle handling: HUF 9 000
Driving: HUF 24 000
Total: HUF 43 500

+ HUF 15 500 for first-aid exam (if required). You are not required to take the first-aid exam if you obtained a driving licence of any category after January 1, 1984, or you have any of the qualifications specified in the GKM Decree No. 24/2005 (IV.21.).

Theory:
– Vehicle Operation and Maintenance*
– Theory of vehicle driving*
– Fundamental traffic rules*

Official driving theory test: 55 minutes
* The learning period available for the eduKRESZ courses are flexible in accordance with the learner’s demands, within the coverage period (e.g. 75 hours/180 days).

Driving:

* If holding a driving licence of Category A1 for motorbikes and with less than 2 years of practice.
** If holding a driving licence of Category A1 for motorbikes and with 2 years of practice.
