What vehicle type am I permitted to drive with it?
Motorbikes with an engine size of up to 125 cc, a power output of up to 11 kW, and a power to weight ratio not more than 0.1 kW/kg, as well as a motor tricycle with a power output of up to 15 kW.

Preconditions:

• Valid identity document and address card
• At least primary education
• Valid medical aptitude certificate (not required if holding a valid driving licence with a medical aptitude expiry date)
• Min. age requirement: 15 years and 6 months

When can I take a theory test??

Min. age requirement: 15 years and 9 months.

When can I take a vehicle handling exam?

Min. age requirement: 16 years.

When can I take a driving test?

Min. age requirement: 16 years.

Fees for official tests:

+ HUF 15 500 for first-aid exam (if required). You are not required to take the first-aid exam if you obtained a driving licence of any category after January 1, 1984, or if you have any of the qualifications specified in the GKM Decree No. 24/2005 (IV.21.)..

Official driving theory test 25 minutes

* The learning period available for the eduKRESZ courses are flexible in accordance with the learner’s demands, within the coverage period (e.g. 75 hours/180 days).

Driving

Basic: 6 lessons

Official vehicle handling test: 20 minutes:

Driving in built-up areas: 8 lessons

Driving outside built-up areas: 2 lessons

Official driving test: 1 lessons

Total: 17 lessons plus 20 minutes
