Category A

What type of vehicles am I permitted to drive with it?

With a driving licence valid for Category A you are permitted to drive all motorbikes.


Preconditions:

  • Valid identity document and address card
  • At least primary education
  • Valid medical aptitude certificate (not required if holding a valid driving licence with a medical aptitude expiry date)
  • Min. age requirement: 23 years and 6 months, or 20 years if you have 2 years practice in driving an A2 category motorbike

+ HUF 18 000 for first-aid exam (if required). You are not required to take the first-aid exam if you obtained a driving licence of any category after January 1, 1984, or you have any of the qualifications specified in the GKM Decree No. 24/2005 (IV.21).
